What began in 1938 as a fuel and trucking operation in Watsonville has grown into a multi-generational organization with a strong presence across Northern California. After incorporating as Robinson Oil Corporation in 1964, the company expanded through a 1971 partnership with Coast Oil Corporation. Two years later, in 1973, the company began selling gasoline under the Rotten Robbie name, a memorable and lighthearted brand designed to reflect competitive prices and well-run stores.
